<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />DES:yc:8/2/68 <br /> <br />REE.OLUT.!.ON <br /> <br />N O. 61S..3 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF <br />MIDDLEFIELD ROAD WIDENING IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY; REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED: <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF- CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK: <br />AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSIT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5742, adopted July 8, <br />1968, the City Clerk called for bids for the construction of <br /> <br />Middlefield Road Widening Improvements, Charter Street to <br /> <br />Chestnut Street: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and <br /> <br />filed with the City ,Cler~'.for the performance of said work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, FREEMAN-SONDGROTH CONSTRUCTION CO., Mountain View, <br /> <br />California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the <br /> <br />intention and desire of this Council to award said bid to said <br /> <br />Freeman-Sondgroth Construction Co., to waive any informality in <br /> <br />the bid of the above mentioned low bidder, and to reject any <br /> <br />and all other bids received for said work: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE : <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Freeman-Sondgroth Construction Co., in the <br /> <br />'\ <br /> <br />total amount of Two Hundred Eighteen Thousand Two Hundred <br /> <br />Eighty-seven and 80/l00 Dollars ($218,287.80), more or less, <br /> <br />computed in accordance with bidder,!-sr.accepted proposal for <br /> <br />Alternate "A" dated July 3l, 1968, for the construction of <br /> <br />said Middlefield Road Widening Improvements, Charter Street to <br /> <br />Chestnut Street, in accordance with the plans and specifications <br /> <br />therefor on file in the office of the City Engineer, is hereby <br /> <br />accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br />
