<br />. <br /> <br />~. <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. <br /> <br />5'71./7 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REJECTING BIDS <br />AND ABANDONING PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />BEL AIR WAY IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City did <br /> <br />on June 10, 1968, pass and adopt Resolution of Intention No. <br /> <br />5711, declaring its intention to order the accomplishment of <br /> <br />certain street improvements and related work on a portion of <br /> <br />Bel Air Way in the City of Redwood City pursuant to the <br /> <br />Improvement Act of 1911, as amended, Division 7 of the Streets <br /> <br />and Highways Code of the State of California; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said intention said Council did on <br /> <br />June 10, 1968, pass and adopt Resolution No. 5713 ordering <br /> <br />call for bids for said street improvements; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, only one bid was received for said work and <br /> <br />said bid has been determined by said Council to be in excess <br /> <br />of the reasonable cost for accomplishing said work; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. Said Council hereby rejects all bids or proposals <br /> <br />for doing, the work of accomplishing the improvements described <br />in said Resolution of Intention No. 5711 relating to "Bel Air <br /> <br />Way Improvements". <br /> <br />2. Said Council hereby terminates current proceedings for <br /> <br />the accomplishment of said improvements without prejudice to <br /> <br />its right to reinstitute such proceedings at any time in the <br /> <br />future. <br /> <br />3. The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed to <br /> <br />record a certified copy of this resolution in the Office of <br /> <br />the County Recorder of the County of San Mateo in accordance <br /> <br />1. <br />
