<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />DES:yc:6/28/68 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br />---------- <br /> <br />N o. 513' <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR ALTERATIONS TO REDWOOD <br />CITY MAIN LIBRARY BUILDING; REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS <br />RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT FOR SAID <br />WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5697, adopted May 20, <br /> <br />1968, the City Clerk called for bids for the construction of <br /> <br />alterations and improvements to the Redwood City Main Library <br /> <br />building; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and <br /> <br />filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, WILLMOR AND COMPANY, San Carlos, California, is <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to award said bid to Willmor and Company, and <br /> <br />reject all other bids received; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Willmor and Company, in the total amount of <br /> <br />Seventeen Thousand Two Hundred Forty Dollars ($17,240.00), more <br /> <br />or less, for the construction of alterations and improvements <br /> <br />to the Redwood City Main Library building,~computed'in'accordance <br /> <br />with bidder's proposal dated June 19, 1968, is hereby accepted, <br />and said bidder is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible <br /> <br />bidder. <br /> <br />2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />for the above mentioned work, other than the bid mentioned in <br /> <br />paragraph 1 hereof, are hereby rejected. <br /> <br />3. Any informality in the above mentioned bid of Willmor <br /> <br />and Company is hereby waived. <br /> <br />4. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br />
