f . ~ RESOLUTION NO. 570'1 RESOLUTION OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY BEL AIR WAY IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, on April 22, 1968, the Council of the City of Redwood City adopted a resolution of preliminary determination to make public improvements in the City of Redwood City, being Resolution No. 5674 of said Council, to construct cer- tain public improvements more particularly described therein, and did fix therein this date as the time and place when and where any and all persons interested may appear and show cause, if any they have, why the City Council should not find and de- termine that the public convenience and necessity require the .improvements described and referred to in said resolution with- out compliance with the Special Assessment, Investigation, Lim- itation and Majority Protest Act of 1931; and WHEREAS, notice of the adoption of said resolution and of said time and place of hearing was given by the City Clerk by publication and posting for the time and in the manner provided in said resolution and Article II of Chapter 18 of the Redwood City Code, as appears from the affidavits on file with the City Clerk; and WHEREAS, no persons objecting to the undertaking of said pro- ceedings without first complying with the provisions of said Special Assessment, Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931 have filed written objections thereto with the City Clerk at or before the time fixed for this hearing by persons in- terested, owning or having an interest in real property within the proposed assessment district, bearing their signatures, a description of their property, and a statement of the nature of their interest therein; and WHEREAS, all persons have been given an opportunity to be and were fully heard, and said Council has duly considered any and all objections and protests made, and the said proposed improvements and the public convenienc~ and necessity for making the same; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Council of Redwood City as follows: 1. That the public convenience and necessity require the improvements described in said Resolution No. 567~_.____. 2. That any and all objections and protests made pursuant to said resolution be, and the same are, hereby over- ruled and denied. 3. That the improvements described in said resolution' , be made under and pursuant to the provisions of the Improvement Act of 1911 as embodied in the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, as amended, and that the Special Assessment, Investiga- tion, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931 shall not apply to said proceedings. *** *** ***
