R E S O L U T I O N t • N0. 3341 RESOLUTION OF PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION PIEDMONT WAY IMPROVEMENTS RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Redwood City., that it does hereby preliminarily determine that the public convenience and necessity require,, and that it intends to order the following work to be done and improvements to be made in and for said City., to wit: , .01, U in te rs ection " (1) The improvement of Piedmont t�j y from its frite-section w-L th r Jef Avenue to its intersection with Altamont Way, including the construction of curbs, curb returns and paving within the inter- sections with Jefferson Avenue and Altamont Way as follows: (a) By the construction and installation therein of two inch (2") plant mixed surfacing., thirty-one (31) feet in width on a six inch (6 crusher-run base, standard concrete curb and gutter on either side thereof and standard double driveway approaches to serve par- cels of land in existing use. (b) By removing existing driveway approaches, relocating stop sign CD and mail boxes and removal of all other obstructions in the line of the work. (c) By feathering with plant mix surfacing at the intersections of Piedmont Way with Altamont Way and Jefferson Avenue to conform to the existing paved surface . (d) By constructing and installing therein the storm sewer system, complete with all appurtenances. (e) By furnishing and installing monuments, (f) By furnishing and installing four inch vitrified clay sani- tary sewer lateral to serve Lot 21, Block 14 Highlands of Emerald Lake Subdivision No. One. (g) By furnishing and installing one inch (1'r) copper water services complete with appurtenances to serve parcels of land not now being served. (h) By the construction and installation of all work and the furnish- ing of all labor and materials necessary thereto or auxiliary to or which may be reasonably required to complete any of the work to be done �2) n hd a-Paragraphs i(�)of (a) to (h) hereinbefore. of s Tcquisiton o all necessary easements. Said contemplated work and improvements in the opinion of said City Council., is of more than local or ordinary public benefit and said Council does hereby make the cost and expenses of doing such work and improvement chargeable upon a District., which District said City Council declares to be the District benefited by said work and impi�ove- -1-
