�- REG : yc : 3/6/61 -7 <br />RES GLUT ION NO. 331' <br />RESOLUTION OPPOSING INCREASE IN MOTOR VEHICLE FUEL <br />LICENSE TAX <br />WHEREAS, the County Supervisors' Association and the League <br />of California Cities, through their respective Streets and Highways <br />Committees, have recommended the active support of legislation at <br />the 1961 Regular Session of the California Legislature to increase <br />the motor vehicle fuel license tax; and <br />WHEREAS, this,Council has reviewed such recommendation and <br />desires to signify its opposition to such tax increase; <br />NOW, THEREFORE <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />That this Council does hereby oppose the increase in the <br />motor vehicle fuel license tax at the 1961 Regular Session of <br />the California Legislature as proposed by the above mentioned <br />groups. <br />
