<br />~"1. <br />;;- <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />REG:yc:9/29/60-7 <br /> <br />RES 0 L U T 1- 0 N N O. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PROTEST TO THE PROPOSED <br />ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY OF CERTAIN UN- <br />INHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS uHIGHLANDS TERRITORY <br />NO. 1111 HAS NOT BEEN MADE BY OWNERS OF ONE-HALF OF THE <br />VALUE OF PRIVATE PROPERTY WITHIN SUCH TERRITORY AS SHOWN <br />BY THE LAST EQUALIZED ASSESSMENT ROLL, NOR BY THE OWNERS <br />OF ONE-HALF OF THE VALUE OF PUBLICLY OvlNEIl PROPERTY <br />WITHIN SAID TERRITORY AS DETERMINED BY SAID COUNCIL <br /> <br />3212 <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on the 15th day of August, 1960, the Council of the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City adopted Resolution No. 3182, giving notice <br /> <br />of, and declaring its intention to, initiate upon its own motion <br /> <br />the annexation to the City of Redwood City of that certain ter- <br /> <br />ritory designated as "Highlands Territory No. II"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has received evidence showing, and has <br /> <br />found, and again finds that a written description of the proposal <br /> <br />to annex said territory to the City of Redwood City was filed with <br /> <br />the Secretary of the Boundary Commission of San Mateo County, <br /> <br />California, on May 20, 1960, and that said Boundary Commission <br /> <br />has prepared, or caused to be prepared, a report on said proposed <br /> <br />annexation as required by law, and that said Boundary Commission <br /> <br />has approved the boundaries of said proposed annexation; and has <br /> <br />received evidence showing and has found, and again finds,' that the <br /> <br />aforementioned action of the Council initiating the annexation of <br /> <br />the herein described territory, upon its own motion, was not com- <br /> <br />menced until after said written description of the proposal for <br /> <br />said annexation was filed with the Secretary of the San Mateo <br /> <br />County Boundary Commission, and until after said Commission made, <br /> <br />or caused to be made, its report and approved said boundaries; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has further received evidence showing, <br /> <br />and finds: <br />(1) That said territory is situate immediately adjacent to <br /> <br />and touches and is contiguous to the boundaries of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City; and <br />
