T ION N O. ~1~6 adopted 7/11/60 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT ~IT{EP~S, the City Engineer has advised this Council that the hereinafter described public utility easement is no longer necessary or needed for public municipal purposes; and ~rlEREAS, the easement was designated as such on that map entitled "Farm Hill No. 3,11 recorded in the office of the Recorder of San Mateo County on July 5, 1957:1 in Book 47 of lYIaps at page 4L~, and has not been used as such since that date; and WHEREAS, the easement is unnecessary for present or prospec- tive public use; and ~iHEREAS, the Pacific Gas and Electric Company and the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company have signified their approval to the abandonment of said easement; and 1fHEREAS, Article 5 (commencing at Section 50430) of Chapter 2:1 Part 1, Division 1, Title 5 of the Government Code provides a pro- cedure for the vacation of easements by local authorities; NOW, TB;EREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY TflE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDtvOOD CITY AS FOLLO~iS: 1. The Council of the City of Redwood City hereby declares its intention to abandon the hereinafter described public utility easement pursuant to the before mentioned Government Code provisions. 2. The above mentioned public utility easement, a plan of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk, is described as follows: That portion of a certain twenty foot (20') public utilities easement that extends across and through Lots 4 and 5, Block 1, as shown on that certain map of Farm Hill No.3, recorded in the office of the Recorder of San Mateo County, July 5, 1957, in Book 47 of Maps at page 44.
