4 , <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> Date: October 12, 2010 <br /> To: City of Redwood City, Office of the City Manager <br /> Attn: Magda Gonzalez, Deputy City Manager <br /> From: Jill Ekas, Planning, Housing and Economic Development Director <br /> Re: Memorandum of Understanding for the 2010 International Latino <br /> Film Festival between the City of Redwood City and the <br /> Redevelopment Agency of Redwood City <br /> This memorandum of understanding (MOU) describes the roles and <br /> responsibilities of the City of Redwood City (City) and the Redwood City <br /> Redevelopment Agency (Agency) for the Agency to provide up to $6,000 in <br /> graphic design, banner installation / removal, and advertisement for the 2010 <br /> Redwood City International Latino Film Festival. <br /> The City, in partnership with the Redwood City International Inc. has agreed to <br /> host the Redwood City International Latino Film Festival (RCILFF). RCILFF will <br /> take place at the Century 20 Theater in downtown Redwood City from November <br /> 5th through November 7, 2010. To date, the Agency has contributed $86,000 in <br /> cash contributions to the International Latino Film Festival since 2006. <br /> Agency Roles and Responsibilities <br /> 1. Pay for the printing and mailing of the "save the date" postcards. (Appx. <br /> $1,800) <br /> 2. Deliver up to two existing horizontal banners to a local sign company to <br /> replace the event dates. (Appx. $80) <br /> 3. Pay for the Public Works Department staff to install and remove up to 4 <br /> horizontal on the Jefferson Underpass and Theatre Way Arch and 32 <br /> vertical banners on the existing light poles in the downtown. The projected <br /> banner install date is October 17. (Appx. $3,120) <br /> 4. Design and pay for the program brochures (Appx. $1,000) <br /> City Roles and Responsibilities <br /> 1. Provide relevant information to the Agency for the design and development <br /> of the programs. City to print about 2,000 programs. <br /> 2. Design the postcards, handle the mailings, and deliver the invoice for the <br /> postcard printing and postage to the Agency. Of the 4,500 save - the -date <br /> postcards printed, the City will mail about 4,000 of them. <br /> Funding <br /> The Agency has allocated an amount not to exceed $6,000 on behalf of the City to <br /> directly pay for the following items: <br /> Page 1 <br />
