REG:yc:5 /9/60 -7 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 3077 RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR FURNISHING OF NEW VEHICLES; AND REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED WHEREAS, pursuant to Council authorization, the City Clerk has called for bids for the furnishing of two new police cars and one four wheel drive pickup truck for municipal purposes in ac- cordance with the specifications therefor; and WHEREAS, bids have been received and are filed with the City Manager; and WHEREAS, FERRIS MILES EQUIPMENT CO., INC., Redwood City, California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the inten- tion and desire of this Council to award said bids to Ferris Miles Equipment Co., Inc. and reject all other bids received; NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: 1. The bid of Ferris Miles Equipment Co., Inc., for the fur- nishing of two new police cars to the City of Redwood City, according to specifications heretofore approved, at the price quoted in its proposal, to -wit One Thousand One Hundred Fifty Eight and 93/100 Dollars ($1,158.93) per each automobile, or a total price, to -wit Two Thousand Three Hundred Seventeen and 86/100 Dollars (Q2,317.86), is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder. 2. The bid of Ferris Miles Equipment Co., Inc., for the fur- nishing of a new four wheel drive pickup truck to the City of Redwood City, according to specifications heretofore approved, at the price quoted in its proposal, to -wit Three Thousand One Hundred Eighteen and 86/100 Dollars ($3,118.86) is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder. 3. Any and all other bids received by the City of Redwood City for the furnishing of the above mentioned police cars and truck to the City, other than the bids mentioned in paragraphs 1 and 2 hereof, are hereby rejected.
