R E S O L U T I O N • 7 _ . ' Ill . Nu. 3071 RESOLUTION OF rUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND . ECESSITY (Regent Street Extension) '.WHEREAS, on April 25 , 19 60 , the Council of the City of Redwood City adopted a resolution` off` preliminary determination to make public improvements in the City of Redwood City, being Resolution No. 3060 of said Council, to construct certain public improvements mo rticularly described therein, and did fix therein this date as the time and place when and ?;here any and all - persons interested may a_.�pear and show cause, if any they have, why the City Council should not find and determine that the public convenience and necessity require the improvements described and referred to in said resolution without compliance with the Special Assessment, Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931; and WHEREAS notice of the adoption off' said resolution and of said time and place of hearing was given by the City Clerk by publica- tion and posting for the time and in the manner provided in said. resolution and Ordinance No. 515 of the City of Redwood City, as appears from the affidavits on file with the City Clerk; and 11HEREAS no persons objecting to the undertaking of said pro- ceedings without first complying with the provisions of said Special_ Assessment, Investigation, Limitation, and Majority Protest Act of 1931 have filed written objections thereto with the City Clerk at or before the time fixed for this hearing by persons interested, owning or hiving an interest in real property within the proposed assessment district, bearing their signatures, a description of their property, and a statement of the nature of their interest therein; and THEREAS all persons have been given an opportunity to be and were fully heard, and said Council has duly considered any and all objections and ;protests made, and the said proposed improvements and the public convenience and necessity for making the same; ii0 ►;, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Council of Red - wood. City, as follows: 1. That public convenience and necessity require the improvements described in said Resolution No. 5060 2. That any and e11 objections and protests .made pursuant to said resolution be, and the same are, hereby overruled and denied. . 3. That the improvements described in said resolution be made under and pursuant to the provisions of Article II -A, of Ordinance No. 333 of the City of Redwood City, entitled "Redwood City Improvement Procedure Ordinance" adopted March 14, 1932, as amended and that the Special Assessment, Investigation - , Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931 shall not apply to said proceedings. * * *
