R E S O L U T I O N • <br /> 7 _ . <br /> ' Ill . <br /> Nu. 3071 <br /> RESOLUTION OF rUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND . ECESSITY <br /> (Regent Street Extension) <br /> '.WHEREAS, on April 25 , 19 60 , the Council of <br /> the City of Redwood City adopted a resolution` off` preliminary <br /> determination to make public improvements in the City of Redwood <br /> City, being Resolution No. 3060 of said Council, to construct <br /> certain public improvements mo rticularly described therein, <br /> and did fix therein this date as the time and place when and ?;here <br /> any and all - persons interested may a_.�pear and show cause, if any <br /> they have, why the City Council should not find and determine that <br /> the public convenience and necessity require the improvements <br /> described and referred to in said resolution without compliance <br /> with the Special Assessment, Investigation, Limitation and Majority <br /> Protest Act of 1931; and <br /> WHEREAS notice of the adoption off' said resolution and of said <br /> time and place of hearing was given by the City Clerk by publica- <br /> tion and posting for the time and in the manner provided in said. <br /> resolution and Ordinance No. 515 of the City of Redwood City, as <br /> appears from the affidavits on file with the City Clerk; and <br /> 11HEREAS no persons objecting to the undertaking of said pro- <br /> ceedings without first complying with the provisions of said <br /> Special_ Assessment, Investigation, Limitation, and Majority Protest <br /> Act of 1931 have filed written objections thereto with the City <br /> Clerk at or before the time fixed for this hearing by persons <br /> interested, owning or hiving an interest in real property within <br /> the proposed assessment district, bearing their signatures, a <br /> description of their property, and a statement of the nature of <br /> their interest therein; and <br /> THEREAS all persons have been given an opportunity to be and <br /> were fully heard, and said Council has duly considered any and all <br /> objections and ;protests made, and the said proposed improvements <br /> and the public convenience and necessity for making the same; <br /> ii0 ►;, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Council of Red - <br /> wood. City, as follows: <br /> 1. That public convenience and necessity require the <br /> improvements described in said Resolution No. 5060 <br /> 2. That any and e11 objections and protests .made pursuant <br /> to said resolution be, and the same are, hereby overruled and <br /> denied. . <br /> 3. That the improvements described in said resolution be <br /> made under and pursuant to the provisions of Article II -A, of <br /> Ordinance No. 333 of the City of Redwood City, entitled "Redwood City <br /> Improvement Procedure Ordinance" adopted March 14, 1932, as amended <br /> and that the Special Assessment, Investigation - , Limitation and <br /> Majority Protest Act of 1931 shall not apply to said proceedings. <br /> * * * <br />
