REG:yc :5 /2/60 -7 <br /> 411 111 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 3070 <br /> RESOLUTION COMMENDING REDWOOD CITY TRIBUNE <br /> WHEREAS, the Redwood City Tribune celebrated its thirty- <br /> seventh publication anniversary on May 2, 1960; and <br /> WHEREAS, since its first edition came off the press in 1923 <br /> the Tribune has continuously demonstrated its public spirit and <br /> has actively participated in the events which have seen Redwood <br /> City grow from a town of two thousand three hundred persons to its <br /> present bustling size of nearly fifty thousand persons; and <br /> WHEREAS, in its first edition the Tribune pledged to "fill a <br /> public need with satisfaction" and has faithfully honored that <br /> pledge for the past thirty -seven years; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. That this Council takes the occasion of the thirty- seventh <br /> anniversary of the Redwood City Tribune to commend the Tribune for <br /> the public spirit and service rendered to the people of this City. <br /> ,• * :5 <br />
