REG:yc :5/260 -7 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 3069 <br /> RESOLUTION COMMENDING TRIBUNE REPORTER MICHAEL J. KERNAN <br /> WHEREAS, Michael J. Kernan has been honored by the American <br /> Political Science Association for his "excellent reporting of <br /> public affairs "; and <br /> WHEREAS, "Mike" has been covering the government activities <br /> of the City of Redwood City for the Redwood City Tribune since <br /> 1958; and <br /> WHEREAS, Michael Kernan has distinguished himself, and has <br /> enhanced the reputation of the Tribune, by his fair and accurate <br /> reporting of municipal activities; and <br /> WHEREAS, Michael Kernan will attend a summer seminar at the <br /> University of Oregon under the auspices of the American Political <br /> Science Association and the School of Journalism, University of <br /> Oregon; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. That this Council does hereby commend Michael J. Kernan <br /> for his reporting of Redwood Cityts municipal activities and hereby <br /> congratulates Michael Kernan on the receipt of his recent honors. <br /> * :: <br />
