REG:yc :12/22/59 -7 R E S O L U T I O N '_ O. 2949 RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE PLACING OF ARi I TG METERS Or EL CA INO REAL ArD MAIINT STREET WHEREAS, the State of California, Division of Highways, has requested that the City of Redwood City acknowledge the fact that parking meters have been placed on El Camino Real and Main Street in this City; and WHEREAS, the provisions of Ordinance No. 567 of the City of Redwood City, the Redwood City Parking I )_eter Ordinance, authorize the establishment of parking meter zones by resolution of the City Council; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 567, parking meters were installed on El Camino Real and g=ain Street in 1947 and have been maintained by the City of Redwood City since that time; NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED F THE COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: 1. The placing of parking meters at the below described locations is hereby cor..firm_ed and the authorization of the City Manager to maintain such parking meters is hereby ratified and continued in effect. 2. The above mentioned locations are (a) on both sides of El Camino Real between Brewster Avenue and Broadway and (b) on Main Street between Middlefield Road and Broadway and for a dis- tance of 129 feet Northerly of Broadway on the West side of Rain Street and for a distance of 296 feet Northerly of Broadway on the East side of Main Street. 3. The City Clerk of the City of Redwood City is hereby direc- ted to transmit two (2) copies of this resolution to Er. J. O'Shea, Assistant District Engineer - Traffic, Division of Highways, District IV, P. 0. Fox 3366, :Vinton Annex, San Francisco, 19, California.
