• REG :yc :10/26/59 -7 r R E S O L U T I O N N O. 2888 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PUBLIC SERVICE EASEMENT WHEREAS, the City Engineer has advised this Council that the hereinafter described public utility easement is no longer nec- essary or needed for public municipal purposes; and, WHEREAS, the easement was designated as such on that map entitled "Woodside Acres No. 2," recorded May 25, 1950, and has not been used as such since that date; and, 'AREAS, the easement is unnecessary for present or prospec- tive public use; and, WHEREAS, the Pacific Gas and Electric Company and the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company have signified their approval to the abandonment of said easement; and, WHEREAS, Article 5 (commencing at Section 50430) of Chapter 2, Part 1, Division 1, Title 5 of the Government Code provides a procedure for the vacation of easements by local authorities; NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: 1. The Council of the City of Redwood City hereby declares its intention to abandon the hereinafter described public utility easement pursuant to the before mentioned Government Code pro- visions. 2. The above mentioned public utility easement, a plan of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk, is described as follows: A portion of that ten -foot (10 public utility easement in Block 9, Woodside Terrace No. 2, as designated on that map entitled Woodside Acres No. 2, recorded May 25, 1950, in the office of the Recorder of San Mateo County in Book 31 of Maps, pages 32 and 33, being more partic- ularly described as follows:
