• REG :yc :10/26/59 -7 <br /> r <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 2888 <br /> RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE <br /> A PUBLIC SERVICE EASEMENT <br /> WHEREAS, the City Engineer has advised this Council that the <br /> hereinafter described public utility easement is no longer nec- <br /> essary or needed for public municipal purposes; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the easement was designated as such on that map <br /> entitled "Woodside Acres No. 2," recorded May 25, 1950, and has <br /> not been used as such since that date; and, <br /> 'AREAS, the easement is unnecessary for present or prospec- <br /> tive public use; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Pacific Gas and Electric Company and the Pacific <br /> Telephone and Telegraph Company have signified their approval to <br /> the abandonment of said easement; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Article 5 (commencing at Section 50430) of Chapter 2, <br /> Part 1, Division 1, Title 5 of the Government Code provides a <br /> procedure for the vacation of easements by local authorities; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The Council of the City of Redwood City hereby declares <br /> its intention to abandon the hereinafter described public utility <br /> easement pursuant to the before mentioned Government Code pro- <br /> visions. <br /> 2. The above mentioned public utility easement, a plan of <br /> which is on file in the office of the City Clerk, is described <br /> as follows: <br /> A portion of that ten -foot (10 public utility easement <br /> in Block 9, Woodside Terrace No. 2, as designated on <br /> that map entitled Woodside Acres No. 2, recorded May 25, <br /> 1950, in the office of the Recorder of San Mateo County <br /> in Book 31 of Maps, pages 32 and 33, being more partic- <br /> ularly described as follows: <br />
