O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14 3 4 2 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR FISCAL YEAR <br />EMERGENCY POWER FOR ESSENTIAL FACILITIES <br />PROJECT; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR <br />SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY <br />DEPOSITS <br />08/27/01 <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 14266, adopted July 9, 2001, the <br />City Clerk advertised for bids for the Emergency Power for Essential Facilities <br />Project in the City of Redwood City, California; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, seven bids were received for <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, S. G. Barber Construction of Belmont, California is the lowest <br />responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award said <br />bid to S. G. Barber Construction; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of S. G. Barber Construction in the amount Ninety Eight <br />Thousand Five Hundred and No /100 Dollars ($98,500.00), computed in <br />accordance with bidder's proposal dated August 8, 2001, for the Emergency <br />Power for Essential Facilities Project, is hereby accepted and said bidder is <br />hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br />F.Atty2001 Shared /Redwood /Council /Reso /Reso -1225 1 <br />
