11/22/2010 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15064 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYOR TO EXECUTE TERMS OF <br />EMPLOYMENT FOR ROBERT B. BELL FOR THE POSITION OF INTERIM <br />CITY MANAGER <br />WHEREAS, recently, City Manager Peter C. Ingram announced his resignation effective <br />December 31, 2010; and <br />WHEREAS, subsequently the City Council identified and appointed Robert B. Bell as <br />Interim City Manager effective November 15, 2010; and <br />WHEREAS, Bell has served the City for five years as Human Resource Director and two <br />years as Assistant City Manager and possesses the specialized skills and experience <br />necessary to fulfill the duties of the Interim City Manager position. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redwood City <br />as follows: <br />1. Robert B. Bell's appointment to Interim City Manager of the City of Redwood City <br />is effective from November 15, 2010, until either the City Council appoints a new City Manager <br />or the City Council terminates his employment as Interim City Manager. <br />2. The terms of employment for the position of Interim City Manager are as stated in <br />the Employment Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A. <br />3.
