■ ; PUBLIC ORIGINAL <br /> New L te �LLI�� AGREEMENT 2010 -2011 <br /> Nei! ea dership for New Times <br /> This agreement ( "Agreement") is made and entered into as of the 1st of <br /> September, 2010, by and between the following entities (sometimes referred to as <br /> "Party" or "Parties "): Bay Area Community Resources ( "Public Allies Silicon Valley /San <br /> Francisco "), a nonprofit corporation contracted by Public Allies, Inc. to operate the <br /> Public Allies Silicon Valley /San Francisco sites, and incorporated under the laws of <br /> California with its principal place of business at 171 Carlos Drive, San Rafael, CA <br /> 94903; and City of Redwood City Fair Oaks Community Center ( "Partner Organization "), <br /> a not for profit corporation, with its principal place of business at 2600 Middlefield Road, <br /> Redwood City, CA 94063. <br /> The terms of this agreement apply in relation to any and all Public Allies Members <br /> placed at City of Redwood City Fair Oaks Community Center, beginning on the date <br /> above and terminating subject to section V (A). <br /> WITNESSETH <br /> WHEREAS, Public Allies Inc. has established the Public Allies <br /> Apprenticeship Program ( "Program "), the purpose of which is to recruit and select young <br /> people (collectively, the "Allies "; individually, an "Ally") for training and placement in <br /> public interest groups, community -based organizations, govemment agencies and other <br /> organizations working for community impact; and <br /> WHEREAS, Partner Organization has indicated that it: <br /> (a) is an organization having service in the public interest as its <br /> mission; <br /> (b) is committed to diversity, staff development and effective <br /> management; <br /> (c) has a clearly defined and compensated AmeriCorps service <br /> position ( "Position ") suitable for a prospective Ally, expected to <br /> have an approximate duration of ten months from (September 1, <br /> 2010 through June 30, 2011) following commencement of service <br /> (such months constituting the "Term "); <br /> (d) will provide a close formal relationship pursuant to which Public <br /> Allies Silicon Valley /San Francisco will furnish to Partner <br /> Organization, and Partner Organization will accept, one or more <br /> qualified Allies for full -time AmeriCorps placement by Partner <br /> Organization in a Position; <br /> (e) has read and understands Partner Organization section of the <br /> Public Allies Policies and Procedures Manual; and <br />
