01/24/2011 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2361 <br /> AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLE 11 OF CHAPTER 12 OF <br /> THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; ADDING <br /> ARTICLE I1 OF CHAPTER 12 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO FIRE PREVENTION; AND <br /> ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE "CALIFORNIA FIRE CODE, <br /> 2010 EDITION ", AS PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL <br /> CODE COUNCIL <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. Article II (commencing at 12.7) of Chapter 12 of the Code of <br /> Redwood City is hereby repealed. <br /> SECTION 2. Article II (commencing at 12.7) is hereby added to Chapter 12 of <br /> the Code of the City of Redwood City, to read as follows: <br /> "ARTICLE II <br /> FIRE PREVENTION CODE <br /> "Section 12.7. ADOPTION; CONFLICTS. <br /> A. Pursuant to Sections 50022.1 et seq., of the California Government Code <br /> and Section 15 of the Charter of the City, the `California Fire Code, 2010 <br /> Edition (including appendices divisions B, C, D, E, F, G, I, and J as published <br /> by the International Code Council, is hereby adopted and shall be in effect <br /> within the City to the same extent as set out in full herein, except as expressly <br /> amended by the provisions of this Article. <br /> B. In the event of any conflict between the provisions of the Fire Code and the <br /> provisions of this Article, the latter shall govern. <br /> "Section 12.7.1. VERY HIGH FIRE HAZARD SEVERITY ZONE MAP. <br /> The City Council hereby adopts and designates Very High Fire Hazard <br /> Severity Zones as recommended by the Director of the California Department of <br /> Forestry and Fire Protection and as designated on a map titled, `Redwood City — <br /> Fire Hazard Map,' dated February 3, 2009, and retained on file and made <br /> available at the offices of the Fire Chief and Building Official of the City of <br /> Atty /Ord /Ord.339 1 Ord. # 2361 <br /> 112410 Formerly Muff #305 <br />
