<br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY
<br /> AMENDING ARTICLE 60, ZONING MAP NO. 11 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1130,
<br /> THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE, AS AMENDED, TO PREZONE
<br /> 1250, 1252, AND 1254 EDGEWOOD ROAD, AS FURTHER DESCRIBED IN
<br /> THIS ORDINANCE, TO THE RH (RESIDENTIAL HILLSIDE) ZONING DISTRICT.
<br /> WHEREAS, at a duly noticed public hearing on November 23, 2010, the Planning
<br /> Commission of the City of Redwood City ( "Commission ") recommended an amendment to the
<br /> Redwood City Zoning Ordinance to prezone the properties at 1250, 1252, and 1254 Edgewood
<br /> Road (Assessor's Parcel Numbers 058 - 030 -140, 058 - 030 -130, 058 - 030 -120), as identified and
<br /> shown on the map, which is attached as Exhibit "A ", to the Residential - Hillside ( "RH ") Zoning
<br /> District, to the City Council of the City of Redwood City.
<br /> WHEREAS, the Applicant has submitted an application to the Local Agency Formation
<br /> Commission ( "LAFCO ") for annexation of the properties at 1250, 1252, and 1254 Edgewood
<br /> Road to the City of Redwood City.
<br /> WHEREAS, on January 10, 2011, at a duly noticed public hearing of the City Council
<br /> held to consider and adopt the Revised Initial Study /Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS /MND)
<br /> and the Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program ( "MMRP ") prepared for the prezoning and
<br /> to introduce the Prezoning Ordinance, the City Council adopted the Revised IS /MND and
<br /> related MMRP.
<br /> WHEREAS, during the above referenced public hearing, the City Council, having
<br /> adopted the Revised IS /MND and related MMRP, having reviewed the recommendation of the
<br /> Planning Commission, and having considered the testimony and evidence received at the public
<br /> hearing duly noticed and held for said proposed prezoning, finds that the proposed prezoning is
<br /> in the public interest and consistent with the purposes of the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance.
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES
<br /> ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
<br /> SECTION 1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct, and are hereby incorporated
<br /> herein by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety.
<br /> SECTION 2. Pursuant to the provisions of Articles 34 and 41 of the Redwood City Zoning
<br /> Ordinance, that the City Council adopts the proposed amendment to the Redwood City Zoning
<br /> Ordinance (Ordinance No. 1130, as amended), Article 60, Map No. 11, of the Redwood City
<br /> Zoning Ordinance, as amended, to prezone the properties at 1250, 1252, and 1254 Edgewood
<br /> Road, currently in unincorporated San Mateo County, to the "RH" Zoning District as identified
<br /> and shown on the map, which is attached as Exhibit "A ".
<br /> SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption.
