411 • ,� CGM: yc: 2/5/71 ORIGINAL fib 8 7S R E S O L U T I ON NO. ,�'i+ ftsry RESOLUTION ORDERING STREET SUPERINTENDENT TO ABATE WEEDS, DIRT, RUBBISH AND RANK GROWTHS WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 6444, adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City on January 11, 1971, said Council declared all weeds, dirt, rubbish and rank growths existing upon private property within those certain areas of the City of Redwood City delineated upon "Exhibit A" attached thereto, and in and upon the sidewalks, parkways, streets, avenues, roadways, boulevards, highways and alleys likewise delineated therein and situate within the City of Redwood City, to be a nuisance, and ordered their abatement; and WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 6444 ordered a public hearing to hear any objections to the removal of said weeds, dirt, rubbish and rank growths on February 8, 1971; and WHEREAS, due notice of such hearing was given as required by Article IV, Chapter 14, of the Code of the City of Redwood City; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That all protests, oral and written, to the removal of any weeds, dirt, rubbish and rank growths and the abatement of same declared to be a nuisance by Resolution No. 6444 of the Council of the City of Redwood City, are hereby overruled. 2. That the Street Superintendent of Redwood City be, and he hereby is, directed to remove, or cause to be removed, all weeds, dirt, rubbish and rank growths declared to be a nuisance by said Resolution No. 6444, at the expense of the owners of the lots or property upon which, or in front of which, such nuisance exists. 3. That the Street Superintendent of Redwood City be, and he hereby is, ordered and directed to keep an itemized account of the cost of abating such nuisance as provided by Article IV, Chapter 14, of the Redwood City Code.
