08/27/01 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14317 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF BRIDGE <br />IMPROVEMENTS (TWIN DOLPHIN DRIVE BRIDGE) <br />WHEREAS, Builder has obtained all necessary permits and approvals for <br />the Towne Place Suites construction (the "Development ") in the City of Redwood <br />City. The project is located between Peninsula No.2 Water Tank Site, <br />Steinberger Slough, the San Carlos Airport and SamTrans Maintenance Facility <br />at Redwood Shores; and <br />WHEREAS, the major access to the hotel site will require the construction <br />of a bridge across the Retention Basin Channel from the cul -de -sac end of Twin <br />Dolphin Drive to the hotel site; and <br />WHEREAS, the public interest and necessity requires the construction of <br />the bridge, and associated improvements and appurtenances; and <br />WHEREAS, Builder is willing to provide, at Builder's cost and expense, for <br />the construction of bridge and associated improvements and appurtenances, <br />subject to the terms and conditions hereof; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement for Construction of Bridge <br />Improvements (Twin Dolphin Drive Bridge)" by and between the City of Redwood <br />City, a municipal corporation of the State of California, and Green Valley <br />Corporation dba Barry Swenson Builder of San Jose, CA, for the construction of <br />FAtty2001 Shared /Redwood /Council /Reso /Reso -1219 <br />
