L <br />14350 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH FAMILY CONNECTIONS <br />WHEREAS, Family Connections is a private, non - profit organization that <br />provides a tuition free parent participation preschool program whose primary focus is <br />parent education in a variety of subjects including child development, self esteem, <br />discipline, nutrition, and literacy, which services are in furtherance of the public <br />health, welfare and benefit; and <br />WHEREAS, Family Connections has requested financial assistance for use by <br />it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2001 and <br />ending June 30, 2002; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires <br />to enter into an agreement with Family Connections to provide financial assistance in <br />furtherance of its public purposes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement by and between the City of Redwood City and Family <br />Connections, a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to <br />which copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is hereby <br />approved and the City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to <br />execute the same on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br />Reso -0113 <br />F. /Shared /Redwood /Council <br />FXS -dr <br />08/02/01 <br />
