ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> (08/11/03) <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> Youth and Family Enrichment Services (formerly known as Youth and Family Assistance; Suicide <br /> <br /> Prevention Program) <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 11th day of August, 2003, by and between the <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal corporation of the State of California ("City") and Youth and <br />Family Enrichment Services (formerly known as Youth and Family Assistance; Suicide Prevention <br />Program), a California nonprofit organization ("Contractor"); <br /> <br /> WlTNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor provides a 24-hour suicide and crisis hotline for San Mateo County as a <br />part of a comprehensive network of services that decrease high risk behaviors, increases self-reliance <br />and strengthens healthy family environments for youth and families; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct the program for <br />residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July 1,2003, and ending June 30, 2004; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate to Contractor the sum of Eight <br />Thousand and No/100 ($8,000); <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto do hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City shall allocate to Contractor the sum of Eight Thousand and <br />No/100 ($8,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2003, and <br />ending June 30, 2004, solely for the purposes described in paragraph 2. <br /> <br /> 2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor shall use the funds provided pursuant to paragraph 1 solely <br />for the Program purposes described in Exhibit "A" (Contract Objectives) attached hereto and by this <br />reference incorporated herein. <br /> <br /> <br />
