08/27/01 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. a z ti i <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH SOR JUANA INES: SERVICES FOR WOMEN <br />WHEREAS, Sor Juana Ines: Services for Women is a private, non - profit <br />organization that provides services to women and their children who have been <br />physically, emotionally, sexually, verbally, economically, or ritualistically abused, which <br />services are in furtherance of the public health, welfare and benefit; and <br />WHEREAS, Sor Juana Ines: Services for Women has requested financial <br />assistance for use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing <br />July 1, 2001 and ending June 30, 2002; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to <br />enter into an agreement with Sor Juana Ines: Services for Women to provide financial <br />assistance in furtherance of its public purposes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement by and between the City of Redwood City and Sor Juana <br />Ines: Services for Women, a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City <br />Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is hereby <br />approved and the City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to <br />execute the same on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br />Reso -0124 <br />F: /Shared /Redwood /C o u n ci I <br />FXS -dr <br />08/02/01 <br />
