08/27/01 <br />O R I G'.I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1 n -1r; Z <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH HUMAN INVESTMENT PROJECT, INC. <br />WHEREAS, Human Investment Project, Inc. is a private, non - profit <br />organization that provides assistance to improve the housing conditions and life skills <br />of those with special needs - single - parents, children, elderly, disabled, the homeless <br />and those at risk of becoming homeless, which services are in furtherance of the <br />public health, welfare and benefit; and <br />WHEREAS, Human Investment Project, Inc. has requested financial <br />assistance for use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing <br />July 1, 2001 and ending June 30, 2002; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires <br />to enter into an agreement with Human Investment Project, Inc. to provide financial <br />assistance in furtherance of its public purposes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement by and between the City of Redwood City and Human <br />Investment Project, Inc., a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City <br />Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is <br />hereby approved and the City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized and <br />directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br />Reso -0116 <br />F: /S h a red /Redwood /Cou nci I <br />FXS-dr <br />08/02/01 <br />
