-- ORIGINAL <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> PROFESSIONAL CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION AND TESTING SERVICES <br /> <br /> (SANDPIPER PARK PROJECT) <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this I~t~ day of <br /> ~c, Yc~.-~ , 1997, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a <br /> <br />municipal corporation of the State of California, and the BELMONT SCHOOL <br />DISTRICT, a school district in the State of Califomia ("City/District") and SIGNET <br />TESTING LABS, of Hayward, California ("Consultant"); <br /> <br /> WlTNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City/District propose to construct a community center and' <br />elementary school at Sandpiper Park in the City of Redwood City (the "Project"); <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in connection with the Project, City/District require <br />professional construction inspection and testing services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Consultant represents that it possesses the experience, and <br />is qualified to perform the aforesa!d services for the Project; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. CONSULTANT'S SERVICES. Consultant shall perform construction <br />inspection, testing and related services described in Exhibit 'A' hereof, attached <br />hereto and by this reference incorporated herein. <br /> <br /> 2. COMPENSATION; EXPENSES; PAYMENT. City/District shall <br /> compensate Consultant for all services performed by Consultant hereunder in <br /> an amount based upon Consultant's hourly rates that are currently prevailing <br /> during the time of the performance of said s~rvices.
