09/24/01 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 143,93 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />MEMORANDUM OF COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY OF SAN MATEO <br />COUNTY, INC. CONTRACTOR'S AGREEMENT WITH THE FAIR OAKS <br />COMMUNITY CENTER TO ACT AS AN OUTREACH REPRESENTATIVE <br />FOR THE LOW INCOME HOME ENERGY ASISTANCE PROGRAM <br />(LIHEAP) <br />WHEREAS, Community Action Agency of San Mateo County, Inc., hereinafter <br />referred to as "CAA" is a non - profit community service agency providing Low Income <br />Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) services to Redwood City residents who <br />are income eligible; and <br />WHEREAS, "CAA" desires to enter into an agreement to establish a relationship <br />whereby Redwood City will act as an Outreach Representative to find residents who <br />qualify under certain income guidelines for the payment of delinquent energy bills; and <br />WHEREAS, the Fair Oaks Community Center is the appropriate agency to solicit <br />qualified applicants; <br />NOW THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement entitled, "Community Action Agency of San Mateo <br />County, Inc. Contractor's Agreement," by and between the City of Redwood City, a <br />charter city and municipal corporation of the State of California, and "CAA ", for the <br />performance of the above - described services, a copy of which is on file in the office of <br />the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is <br />hereby approved and the City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized and <br />F:Atty2001Shared /Redwood /Council /Reso /Reso -1244 <br />
