RD-90-02 <br /> <br /> CONCURRENT RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY AND THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY CERTIFYING FINAL EIR FOR <br /> SEQUOIA STATION PROJECT, (FORMERLY KNOWN AS <br /> GATEWAY CENTER PROJECT) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City, the Redevelopment Agency <br />of the City of Redwood City (the "Agency"), SamTrans, Caltrans <br />and a private developer have been engaged for some time in the <br />preparation of plans and related documents for the construction <br />of The Sequoia Station Project, which was formerly known as the <br />Gateway Center Mixed Use Development and Transit Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency as the lead agency under the State <br />Guidelines for the implementation of the California Environmental <br />Quality Act ("CEQA"), caused a Draft Environmental Impact Report <br />(EIR) to be prepared with respect to The Sequoia Station Project; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with the Agency's CEQA guidelines a <br />public hearing concerning the Draft EIR was held before the <br />Planning Commission on January 16, 1990, following publication of <br />notice; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency established a 45 day period for the <br />receipt of written comments concerning the Draft EIR, which <br />period expired on February 2, 1990; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, four (4) comments were received during said public <br />hearing, and during the period for receiving written comments <br />five (5) sets of written comments were received, one set from the <br />County of San Mateo Environmental Health Division, one set from <br /> <br /> 90 0% <br /> <br /> <br />
