RD-94-21 RD 94-21 RD 94-021 RD-94-021 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> DISPOSITION AND DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT FOR THE <br /> MEZES PLAZA PROJECT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Agency and Mezes Group, Inc., a California <br />corporation (the "Developer") have negotiated an agreement <br />entitled, "Disposition and Development Agreement for the Mezes <br />Plaza Project" (the "DDA"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the DDA provides that the Developer is to construct <br />on the Project Site, located on the south side of Broadway <br />between Main and Walnut Streets, a project consisting of <br />approximately 56,000 square feet of retail and office space with <br />surface and underground parking and landscaping and amenities <br />appropriate to the Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the DDA provides that in return for the Developer's <br />performance, the Agency is to contribute a Subsidy to the Project <br />together with the acquisition and conveyance to the Developer of <br />two parcels (the "Acquisition Parcels") located within the <br />Project Site; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City will be a party to the DDA <br />by reason of the provision in the DDA that the City is to <br />contribute to the Project an easement for underground parking; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redwood City, <br />pursuant to Section 33433 of the Health and Safety Code, has held <br />a duly noticed public hearing, made the requisite findings and <br />approved the Agency's contribution of the Subsidy to the Project <br /> <br /> <br />
