RD-02-73 <br /> CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 14485 <br /> <br /> CONCURRENT RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF <br /> THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING THE ADDENDUM TO THE EIR FOR <br /> THE CINEMA/RETAIL PROJECT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provision of the California Environmental Quality Act <br /> (Public Resources Code Section 21000 et seq._) ("CEQA"), on October 17, 2000, the <br /> City Council and the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redwood City approved and <br /> certified a Final Environmental Impact Report on the "Downtown Mixed-Use <br /> Retail/Cinema Project" (the "EIR"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 15164 of the CEQA Guidelines provides that a lead agency <br /> or responsible agency may prepare an addendum to a previously certified EIR if some <br /> changes or additions are necessary, but none of the conditions calling for the <br /> preparation of a subsequent EIR have occurred; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as set forth in the Addendum (the "Addendum"), dated November <br />- 2002 to the EIR, attached to this Concurrent Resolution as Exhibit A, the preparation of <br /> an Addendum was appropriate under CEQA. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AND THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES <br /> HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The City Council and Agency hereby find that an Addendum to the <br /> EIR is the appropriate document required by CEQA to be prepared for the Retail <br /> Cinema Project for the reasons set forth in the Addendum, attached hereto as Exhibit A <br /> and incorporated herein by reference.
