DES:djk 04/02/96 (069/9) 0 R I G I N A L 5/13/96 ORDINANCE NO. 1130-296 ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 60.1.15 TO ORDINANCE NO. 1130, THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE, REZONING PROPERTY BOUNDED BY FRANKLIN STREET, JEFFERSON AVENUE, MAPLE STREET AND THE RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY FROM "CG-R" AND "CBR" ZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATIONS TO THE "R-5" ZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION; REZONING CITY-OWNED PROPERTY BORDERING MIDDLEFIELD ROAD AND MAIN STREET FROM "CBR" ZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION TO THE "PF" ZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION; AND REZONING PROPERTY BOUNDED BY MAPLE STREET TO THE SOUTH, CITY OWNED PROPERTY TO THE NORTH AND EAST AND THE RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY TO THE WEST FROM "CB" ZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION TO THE "CB-R" ZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION WHEREAS, on March 19, 1996, the Planning Commission of the City of Redwood City recommended for City Council approval, to rezone the hereinafter described property from "CG-R" (General Commercial-Residential Combining) and "CBR" (Central Business Retail) Zoning District classifications to the "R-5" Zoning District classification; from "CBR" (Central Business Retail) District classification to the "PF" Zoning District classification; and from "CB" Zoning District classification to the "CB-R" Zoning District classification; and WHEREAS, this Council, having reviewed the recommendation of the Planning Commission and having considered the evidence received at the public hearing duly noticed and held for said proposed rezoning, finds that the proposed rezoning is in the public interest, consistent with the general plan of the City of Redwood City, and consistent with the purposes of the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance (Ordinance No. 1130, as amended); NOW, THEREFORE; THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1.
