� � • REG.ek 12/10/65-7 <br /> r "' J� <br /> RE S OLUT I ON NO. �gGS <br /> RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF BAY ' <br /> RC�AD ARRA STCIRM DRAINAGE SYSTEM, PROJECT UNIT I, <br /> STORM DRAIN.LINES AND APPURTENANT.WORK, IN THE.CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY; REJECTING ALL OTHEft BIDS RECEIVED; <br /> AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF' CONTRACT FOR SAID T�+TORK; AND, <br /> DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY.DEPOSIT _ <br /> �REAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 4760, adopted Septem- <br /> ber 13, 1965, the City Clerk called for bids for the con- <br /> struction of the Bay Road area storm drainage system, Project <br /> Unit I, storm drain lines,and appurtenant work; and, <br /> T�iHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and <br /> filed with the City Manager for the performance of said work; " <br /> and, <br /> Wf�REAS, McGUIRE AND F�STER, Oakland, California, is the <br /> lowest responsible bidder and it the intention and desire <br /> of this Council to award.said bid ta said McGUire and Hester, <br /> to waive any informality in the bid of the abovementioned low <br /> �� , <br /> bidder, and to reject any ancl all other bids received for said <br /> � work; <br /> NON7, THEREFORE; , <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF TFiE CITY OF REDWO� CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The bid of McGUIRE AND HESTER in the total amount of <br /> Six Hundred Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-Seven <br /> Dollars ($617,577.00), more or less, computed in accordance <br /> with bidder's proposal dated December l, 1965, for the con- <br /> struction of Project Unit I, Alternate "B", Storm Drain Lines <br /> and appurtenant work, Bay Road Area Storm Drainage System, in <br /> accordance with the plans and specifications there£or on file <br /> in the office o£ the City Engineer, is hereby accepted and <br /> said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest <br /> responsible bidder for said work. <br /> �O � <br />
