12/12/2011 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15159 <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY APPROVING HISTORIC LANDMARK <br /> DESIGNATION FOR 1842 WHIPPLE AVENUE, REDWOOD CITY, <br /> CALIFORNIA <br /> WHEREAS, on February 10, 2011, the Historic Resources Advisory <br /> Committee considered and recommended the historic landmark designation for <br /> the single family residence and property located at 1842 Whipple Avenue, <br /> Redwood City, California ; and <br /> WHEREAS, on December 6, 2011, the Planning Commission considered <br /> and recommended said property be designated a historic landmark; and <br /> WHEREAS, said property meets the following historic designation criteria <br /> established by the Redwood City Historic Preservation Ordinance (Chapter 40 of <br /> the Redwood City Code) as follows; , <br /> A. It exemplifies and reflects special elements of the City's cultural <br /> aesthetic and architectural history; and <br /> B. The area is identified with persons and events significant in local, <br /> State and National History; and <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. The above recitals are accurate and constitute findings in <br /> this matter. <br /> Section 2. Said property is hereby designated an historic landmark <br /> pursuant to the Redwood City Historic Preservation Ordinance. <br /> Section 3.
