01/23/2012 ORIGINAL ORDINANCE NO. 1130-357 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AMENDING ARTICLE 49 OF THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING CODE RELATING TO NOTICE FOR PUBLIC HEARINGS WHEREAS, the purpose of this amendment is to update noticing requirements and to adopt uniform noticing procedures. NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Article 49 of the Redwood City Zoning Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Article 49 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS 49.1 Required Notice. At any time a public hearing is set under the provisions of this Code, notice thereof shall be given to the public as provided for in this article. 49.2 Amendments to Zoning Code and Precise Plans. A. For public hearings before the Planning Commission on proposed amendments to the Zoning Code or any Precise Plan, notice shall be published in an adjudicated newspaper of the City of Redwood City at least ten (10) calendar days before the hearing in accordance with Government Code Section 65090. If the proposed amendment affects the permitted use of real property, then notice shall also be mailed in accordance with Government Code Section 65091. B. For public hearings before the City Council on proposed amendments to the Zoning Code or any Precise Plan, notice shall be shall be published in an adjudicated newspaper of the City of Redwood City at least ten (10) calendar days before the hearing in accordance with Government Code Section 65090. 49.3 Amendments to General Plan and Specific Plans. For public hearings on proposed amendments to the General Plan or any Specific Plan, notice shall be published in an adjudicated newspaper of the City of Redwood City at least ten (10) calendar days before the hearing in accordance with Government Code Section 65090.
