ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> FOR <br /> PROFESSIONAL PUBLIC EDUCATION SERVICES <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this /t/~dday of <br />~¢~, 2001, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a <br />municipal corporation of the State of California, ("City"), and JAN FORD PUBLIC <br />RELATIONS of Palo Alto, California ("Consultant"); <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the San Mateo County Police Chiefs and Sheriff Association <br />sponsor anti-drunk drivin9 campaigns throughout the County of San Mateo; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Redwood City Police Department, on behalf of <br />participating agencies, has submitted an application for a grant from the <br />California Office of Traffic Safety ("OTS") to facilitate the "Avoid the 23 DUI <br />Campaign," a law enforcement program to reduce the incidence of driving under <br />the influence of alcohol and drugs ("DUI") in San Mateo County (the "Project"); <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in connection with the Project, the City requires professional <br />public education services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Consultant represents that it possesses the experience, and <br />is qualified to perform the aforesaid services for the Project; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> <br />Agmt-448 1 <br />F:\shared\Redwood\Council <br />DES:djk <br />02/20/01 <br />04/04/01R <br /> <br /> <br />
