MINUTE ORDER <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> January 30, 1995 <br />MO. 95-026 <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: February 1, 1995 <br /> <br />Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Community Development Director <br /> City Engineer <br /> <br />SUBJECT: ltealth Risk Assessment Appeal at the Westport Site <br /> <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on January 30, 1995. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmembers Buchan, Hartnett, Howard, La Berge, Sanfilipo, Steinfeld <br /> and Mayor Gasparini <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />The following motion was made and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> M/S: HARTNETT/SANFILIPO TO DENY THE APPEAL <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Hartnett stated that the issues presented with respect to the appeal <br /> were very well presented and to the point; and, the issues were properly raised <br /> and dealt with appropriately in the Health Risk Assessment, and for those <br /> reasons the appeal should be denied. <br /> <br /> Councilwoman Steinfeld stated that although the issues in the Health Risk <br /> Assessment were addressed, significant other issues remain - traffic, air <br /> pollution, seismic activity and potential breaching of the cap. <br /> <br /> Mayor Gasparini agreed with the previous comments and added that the <br /> appeal process was well thought out and helped make the health risk assessment <br /> and technical work for it very clear: the issues were being heard loud and clear. <br /> <br /> MOTION CARRIED BY UNANIMOUS VOICE VOTE. <br /> <br />Arlyn C.
