ORIGINAL - <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> Mental Health Association of San Mateo County <br /> <br /> Spring Street Shelter <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this r~'~ay of <br /> <br />2003, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Mental Health Association of San <br />Mateo County, a California nonprofit organization ("Contractor") (collectively the <br />"Parties"). <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> · WHEREAS, Contractor provides an emergency shelter for homeless mentally ill <br />adults; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the program described in the attached Exhibit B (Contract Objectives), which is <br />incorporated herein by this reference (the "Program"), for residents of City during the <br />fiscal year commencing July 1, 2003, and ending June 30, 2004; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed Contractor's request; finds that providing <br />the financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, desires to <br /> <br />allocate to Contractor the sum of Twelve Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($12,000). <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City wilt allocate to Contractor the sum of <br />Twelve Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($12,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during <br />the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2003, and ending June 30, 2004, solely for the <br />purposes described in Paragraph 2. <br /> <br />9/11/03 <br /> <br /> <br />
