- ORIGINAL - <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> Shelter Network <br /> <br /> Redwood Family House <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this"~l'~ay of ~ ~ <br />2003, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Shelter Network, a California nonprofit <br />organization ("Contractor") (collectively the "Parties"). <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor provides transitional housing and comprehensive support <br />services for homeless families; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the program described in the attached Exhibit B (Contract Objectives), which is <br />incorporated herein by this reference (the "Program"), for residents of City during the <br />fiscal year commencing July 1, 2003, and ending June 30, 2004; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed Contractor's request; finds that providing <br />the financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, desires to <br /> <br />allocate to Contractor the sum of Eighty Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($80,000). <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Padies hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of Ten <br />Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($10,000)from Community Development Block Grant <br />(CDBG) funds and Seventy Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($70,000) from its General <br />Fund for exclusive use by Contractor dudng the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2003, <br />and ending June 30, 2004, solely for the purposes described in Paragraph 2. <br /> <br />9/11/03 <br /> <br /> <br />
