RESOLUTION NO. C}'I - p f <br />A RESOLUTION of INTENTION of THE PLANNING COMMISSION of <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY To THE CITY COUNCIL of THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY TO AMEND THE STRATEGIC GENERAL FLAN <br />OF THE CITY of REDWOOD CITY TO CHANGE THE GENERAL PLAN <br />LAND USE DESIGNATIONS of PROPERTIES GENERALLY LOCATE <br />WITHIN THE DOWNTOWN PRECISE PLAN AREA T "DOWNTOWN <br />MIXED USE" AND "DOWNTOWN MIXED USE EXPANSION BLOCKS" <br />WHEREAS, after a duly noticed public hearing on February 6, 2007, the <br />Planning Commission of the City of Redwood City (the "Commission") certified the Final <br />Environmental Impact Report for the Redwood City Downtown Precise Plan. <br />WHEREAS, implementation of the Downtown Precise Plan requires the <br />amendment of the ,strategic General Plan of the City of Redwood ood City "General Plan" <br />land use designations of the Downtown Precise Plan Area, as shorn on the attached <br />Attachment "A", from the following existing uses, including but not limited to, "hied <br />Uses" (Commercial and Residential); "Multi -Story Structures for Office and Retail Uses-" <br />"Moderate and High Rise Residential Structures ;" "Government;" and "Office Park <br />Oriented Uses" to "Downtown Mixed Use" and "Downtown Mixed Use Expansion <br />Blocks." <br />WHEREAS, implementation of the Downtown Precise Plan requires the <br />amendment of the General Plan text to include two new land use designations of <br />"Downtown Hiked Use" and "Do wntown Mixed Use Expansion Blocks ". The proposed <br />General Plan text amendment is set forth in Attachment "B" attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein. <br />WHEREAS, Section 18.61 of the Redwood City Municipal Code provides for the <br />adoption by the Planning Commission of a resolution of intention to amend the General <br />Plan. <br />WHEREAS, this Planning Commission, having considered the evidence received <br />at the public hearing duly noticed and held for said proposed amendments, desires to <br />refer to the city Council consideration of an amendment to the General Plan in the <br />manner proposed and referenced above. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />F THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY As FOLLOWS: <br />1.
