DES:djk ~/13/94 (057/39) <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 12/19/94 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12383 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION SUPPORTING AND AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN <br /> THE PENINSULA PARTNERSHIP FOR CHILDREN, YOUTH AND <br /> FAMILIES INITIATIVE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Peninsula Partnership for Children, Youth and <br />Families ("Peninsula Partnership") is a coalition of leaders <br />representing county and city governments, schools, non-profit <br />organizations, foundations, businesses and high school students <br />for the initiation of programs and services responsive to the <br />needs of children and their families; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Peninsula Partnership has been designated the <br />planning council for $1.15 million in Federal Family Preservation <br />and Support Program funds proposed for allocation in San Mateo <br />County over the next five years; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Peninsula Partnership has established a process <br />by which these funds will be allocated to programs throughout the <br />County that support the Peninsula Partnership's goals and <br />principles; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this City's participation in the development of a <br />five-year plan with the Redwood City School District to improve <br />and integrate services for young children and their families in <br />our community advances this Council's policies for the <br /> <br />enhancement of such services; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> This Council hereby endorses the goals and principles of the <br /> <br /> <br />
