DES:djk ~/13/94 (058/39) <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 12/19/94 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12380 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF <br /> APPLICATION FOR TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT FUNDS <br /> FOR BICYCLE/PEDESTRIAN PATH <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City desires the installation <br />of a bicycle/pedestrian path connecting Veterans Boulevard to <br />Blomquist Street by utilizing the Southern Pacific Railroad <br />("SPRR") tunnel under the Bayshore (State Route 101) <br />Freeway/Woodside Road Interchange (the "Project"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Redwood City Traffic Advisory Committee <br />recommends approval of the Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Project conforms to, and implements, the <br />Transportation Element of the General Plan and the Redwood City <br />Bikeway Plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 66520 all <br />applications for grant funds for transportation projects must be <br />approved by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to apply for a Transportation <br /> <br />Development Act grant for the Project; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That certain application to the Metropolitan <br />Transportation Commission for grant funds in the total amount of <br />One Hundred Sixty-eight Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($168,000.00) <br />for fiscal year 1995-96 funding, entitled, "Application <br />Documents: TDA Article 3 Bicycle/Pedestrian Projects" for the <br /> <br /> <br />
