DES:djk 0~/12/94 (023/39) <br /> <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 9/26/94 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12338 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A <br /> GROUNDWATER EXTRACTION SYSTEM AT THE MUNICIPAL SERVICES <br /> CENTER; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID <br /> WORK <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, written bids without public advertisement were <br />solicited for the construction of a groundwater extraction system <br />at the Municipal Services Center in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said solicitation five bids were <br />received for the performance of said work and filed with the <br />Department of Community Development, Engineering Division; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, S.G. Barber Construction, Inc., of Belmont, <br />California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the <br />intention and desire of this Council to accept said bid of S.G. <br /> <br />Barber Construction, Inc.; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of S.G. Barber Construction, Inc., in the <br />amount of Seventeen Thousand Eight Hundred Thirty-four and No/100 <br />Dollars ($17,834.00), computed in accordance with said bidder's <br />proposal dated August 22, 1994, for the construction of a <br />groundwater extraction system at the Municipal Services Center, <br />is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared <br />to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br /> 2. That certain agreement entitled "Agreement" (form dated <br />09/12/94) by and between the City of Redwood City, a municipal <br />corporation of the State of California and S.G.
