DES:djk 0~/12/94 (025/39) <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 9/26/94 <br /> <br /> R E S 0 L U T I O N N O. 12337 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR EMERALD LAKE HILLS WATER <br /> PUMPING AND STORAGE FACILITIES MODIFICATIONS; <br /> AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND <br /> DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12247, adopted July 18, <br />1994, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the Emerald Lake <br />Hills Water Pumping and Storage Facilities Modifications, Redwood <br />City, California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, seven bids were <br />received for the performance of said work and filed with the City <br />Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, West Valley Construction Company, Inc. of San Jose, <br />California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the <br />intention and desire of this Council to accept said bid of West <br /> <br />Valley Construction Company, Inc.; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of West Valley Construction Company, Inc., in <br />the amount of Four Hundred Eighty-six Thousand Forty and No/100 <br />Dollars ($486,040.00), computed in accordance with said bidder's <br />proposal dated September 7, 1994, for the Emerald Lake Hills <br />Water Pumping and Storage Facilities Modifications, is hereby <br />accepted, and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the <br />lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br /> 2.
