(8-29-94) <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 9/12/94 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12322 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT WITH THE LA CASA DE SAN MATEO AKA BATTERED WOMEN'S <br /> SERVICES OF SAN MATEO COUNTY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the La Casa de San Mateo, AKA Battered Women's Services of San <br />Mateo County has been established for the principal purpose of providing the only <br /> <br />battered women's shelter with 24-hour emergency shelter and crisis intervention <br /> <br />counseling to women and their children in San Mateo County; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the La Casa de San Mateo, AKA Battered Women's Services of San <br />Mateo County has requested financial assistance in order to conduct its activities <br />during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1994 and ending June 30, 1995; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to <br />allocate to the La Casa de San Mateo Aka Battered Women's Services of San Mateo <br />County the sum of SEVEN-THOUSAND, EIGHT-HUNDRED FORTY DOLLARS ($7,840.00); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented to, <br />and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br /> <br />agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled, "AGREEMENT" (form dated 8-29-94), by and between <br />the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of the State of California and the La <br />Casa de San Mateo AKA Battered Women's Services of San Mateo County, a non-profit <br />corporation of the State of California, a copy of which agreement is on file in the <br /> <br /> <br />
