(8-Z9-94) <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 9/12/94 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12319 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT WITH HISPANOS UNIDOS (TEATRO JUVENIL)) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Hispanos Unidos (Teatro Juvenil) has been established for the <br />principal purpose of providing programs for the charitable, educational <br />advancement, welfare, protection, guidance and representation of Hispanic groups; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Hispanos Unidos (Teatro Juvenil) has requested financial <br />assistance in order to conduct its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, <br />1994 and ending June 30, 1995; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to <br />allocate to Hispanos Unidos (Teatro Juvenil) the sum of FIVE-THOUSAND DOLLARS <br />($5,000.00); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented to, <br />and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br /> <br />agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled, "AGREEMENT" (form dated 8-29-94), by and between <br />the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of the State of California and <br />Hispanos Unidos (Teatro Juvenil), a non-profit corporation of the State of California, <br />a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy <br />reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the <br />City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute, and attest <br />tO, respectively, said agreement for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
