'- - (8-29-94) <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> 9/12/94 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12318 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT WITH THE FRIENDS FOR YOUTH, INC. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Friends For Youth, Inc. has been established for the principal <br />purpose of providing the matching of volunteer adult mentors (Senior Friends) with <br /> <br />youth (Junior Friends' identified as needing a meaningful and supportive <br />realtionship; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Friends For Youth, Inc. has requested financial assistance in <br />order to conduct its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1994 and <br /> <br />ending June 30, 1995; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to <br />allocate to the Friends For Youth, Inc. the sum of THREE-THOUSAND, SIXTY DOLLARS <br />($3,060.00); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented to, <br />and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br /> <br />agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled, "AGREEMENT" (form dated 8-29-94), by and between <br />the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of the State of California and the <br />Friends For Youth, Inc., a non-profit corporation of the State of California, a copy of <br />which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is <br />hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager <br /> <br />and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute, and attest to, <br />respectively, said agreement for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
