0 R I G I N A L (8-29-94) <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12314 9/12/94 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT WITH CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF THE <br /> ARCHDIOCESE OF SAN FRANCISCO <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of San Francisco has <br />been established for the principal purpose to serve, empower and advocate on behalf <br />of the poor, frail and needy, in San Francisco, Matin and San Mateo Counties; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of San Francisco has <br />requested financial assistance in order to conduct its activities during the fiscal year <br />commencing July 1, 1994 and ending June 30, 1995; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to <br /> <br />allocate to the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of San Francisco the sum of <br />THREE-THOUSAND THREE-HUNDRED AND TEN DOLLARS ($3,310.00); and <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented to, <br />and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br /> <br />agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled, "AGREEMENT" (form dated 8-29-94), by and between <br />the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of the State of California and the <br />Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of San Francisco, a non-profit corporation of <br /> <br />the State of California, a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City <br />Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby <br />approved, and the City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute, and attest to, respectively, said agreement for and on behalf of the City of <br />Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
