DES:dft ? 7/94 (013/38) <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 9/12/94 <br /> <br /> R E S 0 L U T I O N N O. 12312 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> PURCHASE DOCUMENTS FOR ACQUISITION OF ELECTRONIC GAUGE <br /> PRESSURE TRANSMITTERS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.76 of the Redwood City Code, <br />this Council has suspended the requirements of Article VII of <br />Chapter 2 of the Code of Redwood City relating to competitive <br />bidding for the hereinafter described purchase; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of General Services requires <br />electronic gauge pressure transmitters for use in conjunction <br />with operations of the supervisory control and data acquisition <br /> <br />("SCADA") computerized telemetry system which monitors the City's <br />wastewater and fresh water pumps and storage tanks; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the aforesaid transmitters are of a unique nature, <br />available from a single source only, and are necessary to <br />supplement the previously purchased and installed SCADA <br />equipment; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to approve the purchase of <br />twenty-eight (28) electronic gauge pressure transmitters in an <br />amount not to exceed Fifteen Thousand One Hundred Forty-Eight and <br /> <br /> 94/100 Dollars ($15,148.94); <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. This Council hereby approves the purchase of twenty- <br /> eight (28} electronic gauge pressure transmitters from Oratech <br /> Controls, Inc., in accordance with said company proposal dated <br /> August 30, 1994, which proposal is hereby accepted, in an amount <br /> <br /> <br />
