DES:djk a8/23/94 (019/39) <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 8/29/94 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12304 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF RED <br /> MORTON COMMUNITY CENTER; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF <br /> SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12244, adopted July 18, <br />1994, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the construction of <br />the Red Morton Community Center, Redwood City, California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, eight bids were <br />received for the performance of said work and filed with the City <br />Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, S.J. Amoroso Construction Co., Inc. of Foster City, <br />California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the <br />intention and desire of this Council to accept said bid of S.J. <br /> <br />Amoroso Construction Co., Inc.; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of S.J. Amoroso Construction Co., Inc., in the <br />amount of Five Million Sixty-four Thousand and No/100 Dollars <br />($5,064,000.00), computed in accordance with said bidder's <br />proposal dated August 17, 1994 for the construction of the Red <br />Morton Community Center, is hereby accepted, and said bidder is <br />hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for <br />said work. <br /> <br /> 2. That certain agreement entitled "Agreement" (form dated <br />08/23/94) by and between the City of Redwood City, a municipal <br />corporation of the State of California and S.J.
